Special Olympics Unified Sports
Scottsdale

Special
Olympics Arizona and Scottsdale Unified School District are working together to
bring the Unified Sports program to elementary age children. Unified
Sports is an exciting program which combines Special Olympics athletes and athletes
without intellectual disabilities, called partners, on a team to train and
compete together. Unified
Sports athletes improve their physical fitness, sharpen their skills, challenge
the competition, overcome prejudices about intellectual disability… and, of
course, have fun!
